Australian Minister for Immigration and Border Protection Hon. Peter Dutton and Australia’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Her Excellency Robyn Mudie along with the representation of Senior Officials from Australia have paid a courtesy visit to meet the Governor of the Eastern Province Hon. Austin Fernando on 06.05.2015 at 11.30 am at the Governor’s Secretariat.
Human trafficking and human smuggling to Australia is mainly discussed during this visit. The Hon. Governor, EP has expressed his pleasure in meeting the Australian delegates as the first foreign delegates after he assumed duties as the Governor, EP. The bilateral relationships between two countries also have been discussed at the meeting.
